2009 2008 2007 2006 2004 2003 2002 New York with Dinosaur Jr., Ghetto Ways and Love As Laughter 03.12.2005I was witness to a reunion gig of Dinosaur Jr. including J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph. Rock The Cam took pictures and they took a live video. Opening act at the Irving Plaza in NYC were Ghetto Ways and a band called Love As Laughter.↑ Visions Birthdayparty with Life Of Agony, Turbonegro and Mando Diao 26.11.2005The Visions magazine was celebrating his 15th birthday with a „little“ concert. The place was the Schleyerhalle in Stuttgart. This place is huge and not really nice. The line up was: Ebbot Lundberg and his The Soundtrack Of Our Lives, old heroes from New York: Life Of Agony, Deathpunk with Turbonegro and the boys from Mando Diao.↑ Change of venue for Maximo Park 21.11.2005Paul Smith, Lukas Wooler, Duncan Lloyd, Tom English (cool name) and Archis Tiku, better known under Maximo Park should have played the small venue, but due to high demand for tickets the show was at the “big” Elserhalle. Good decision. Opener were New Pornographers.↑ Power to the people with Adam West 17.11.2005The band from Washington called Adam West with their shouter Jake Starr at the Monofaktur playing for me and some others. Opening act was Bastard By Attitude.↑ Holà GTO, holà Bamboo Kids 05.11.2005Madrid the capital of Spain was calling me and guess what I found in the flyer from Gruta’77? Y si los Clash fueran americanos? Imaginan a los Rolling haciendo Punk Rock? Puede que parte de esas respuestas se encuentre en el sonido de The Bamboo Kids. And a lot more, still I do not know what all this means but it sounded good to me. So did the band, although the singer was telling something about feeling sick and perhaps he has to throw up on stage – what he actually did! Punk Rock. The opening band were GTO and half the people were singing with them.↑ Ciao B.R.M.C. 25.10.2005Almandino Quite Deluxe were building up there instruments in the Schwabinger7, but due to whatever, they were putting everything back in the truck without playing. Who did play a few days later on their Howl-tour were Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. They survived the complicated situation of bringing together the (faster and harder) and the new (quieter and bluesy) songs. Here is the list of the songs which they performed that night: Complicated Situation / Fault Line / Devil's Waitin' / Shuffle Your Feet / Ain't No Easy Way / Love Burns / White Palms / Punk Song / Howl / As Sure As The Sun / Weight Of The World / Six Barrel Shotgun / Rifles / Still Suspicion Holds You Tight / Sympathetic Noose / Promise / Spread Your Love / Stop / Gospel Song / The Line / Open Invitation.Phil Vetter (the singer from Big Jim) was opening the concert night. ↑ Salut à toi ô mon frère - The Hatepinks, The Heartattacks, The Manikins 12.10.2005A big international package at the Monofaktur. From Nyköping in Sweden there was The Manikins. And as well from Sweden but this time with Miss Japan playing the bass The Heartattacks. And from directly from France: The Hatepinks, good show, lots of jumps and Punk Rock (or lets put it into their own words: Sehr gut Rock und Roll). Merci beaucoup et a bientôt.↑ Where to go Moneybrother? 11.10.2005Hard Fi at the Ampere or Moneybrother at the Elserhalle? And cause I have a line on northern lights I went to Moneybrother. William White And The Emergency were there as well to start the show.↑ Geoff Berner and Kaizers Orchestra 29.09.2005Geoff Berner (Whisky on whisky – that is risky) began the concert at the Backstage, Kaizers Orchestra from Norway came afterwards. Good show, good music and hopefully good pictures? It is up to you to decide.↑ Ja, de kommer from Sverige: The Ark 21.09.2005The Ark again. Atomic Cafe again. Sold out again. Dancing on the bar again. Great and wonderful again. Good pictures again?↑ 22Pistepirkko in Munich 20.09.2005new live shots from the great but almost unknown 22 Pistepirkko playing at the Orangehouse. Great records with nice strange songs. Always a pleasure to listen to them and even better to watch them live on stage.↑ Amalthea meets Yellow Press 15.09.2005I missed Walter Schreifels (arrgghhh) but I was witness to the show from Amalthea from Sweden and the gang of The Yellow Press from USA.↑ Filmstar on tour: Juliette Lewis 08.09.2005After missing them once, I could get hold of them this time: Juliette & The Licks live at the packed Ampere in Munich. Good one, lots of sweat and rock, even Mrs. Lewis jumping into the audience.↑ Concerto di matrimonio 03.09.2005This special event was spiced up with Mario Götz and his Rock’n’Roll show. Monsterpunk from Freiburg with their first appearance in Bavaria. Afterwards the acoustic trip with The Neighbours and a band you already have seen on Rock The Cam: Schein23 (Band hoch!!!)↑ Gimme Gimme Gimme Me First and The Alkaline Trio 31.08.2005This nice evening at the Elserhalle started with No Comply, followed by the great The Alkaline Trio and the mainact was the all star Punk Rock cover band (including people from NoFX like Fat Mike, from Lagwagon…) Me First And The Gimme Gimmes.↑ Ciao Ligabue 27.08.2005Ligabue in Monaco, qui trovi le foto del concerto. Not so many Germans at this Italian “home” event.↑ Social Distortion with Backyard Babies 25.08.2005Latest pics from Social Distortion live at the Elserhalle. Mike Ness and his band, a legend rocking the sold out venue. It’s quite a long time since the last time they have been around in Germany. 1997 when there were still proper concert tickets, not this shitty computer ones we have right now. Backyard Babies and Cooper were there with them.↑ Hello hello, welcome to Vertigo - U2 Keane? 03.08.2005Today it was big, really big. Olympiastadion and a band called U2 playing for me and some other guys…Even the rain and the cold weather could not kill the good event. I missed The Zutons but got hold of Keane as well.↑ Das Fest with Amparanoia, Within Temptation, Moneybrother and and and 22 / 23 / 24.07.2005A long list of missed events to start with: The Masons, Giant Sand, Fun For Free with Hal, Against Me at the Kafe Kult and really annoying Coldplay at the Arena di Verona although I was nearby in Italy. But now a list of bands I was able to see in Karlsruhe at Das Fest. It is always nice the event, the choice of bands is good or bad – whatever your taste is, however there is always someone good playing. And the best of all, it is free! Thanks to the people, to Karlsruhe, the bands and the sponsors. Pictures from Moneybrother, Amparanoia, Within Temptation and Eduardo Bennato.↑ Pot Belly kissed by Black Lips 23.06.2005Luckily I went to the Monofaktur on the 23rd cause Shake Your Ass were organizing a party including some live bands. I could take pictures of Pot Belly and The Black Lips. Great and hopefully I can watch The Masons on Sunday at the same place.↑ Jamaram 16.06.2005Today’s pictures are from Jamaram who were playing at the Tollwood Festival. Afterwards I went to the Olympiahalle to look if somebody sells me a “cheaper” ticket for the Black Sabbath show. Nobody did and I went home, leaving Ozzy to himself.↑ Hype about Maximo Park 03.06.2005Atomic Café, sold out show. Fortunately I had a ticket and went to see Maximo Park. If the hype is always as justified as in this case, then it is OK with the hype. Opening act were the Gods Of Blitz from Berlin. The rising…↑ T.C. Boyle in Munich, 25.05.2005now for a little change a reading and again T.C.Boyle promoting his new book Dr. Sex / The Inner Circle. Pictures from this sold out event out of the Reithalle here on Rock The Cam.↑ Fun, fun, fun with The Ark and Sugarplum Fairy 20.05.2005It was sold out again. It was at the Atomic Café again. It was a package from Sweden, including The Ark again. It was almost like the last time: wonderful! And Mr. Ola Sato was dancing on the bar. Afterwards it was the brother band from Mando Diao playing: The Sugarplum Fairy.↑ Hello Idlewild 18.05.2005I went to the Zerwickgewölbe and surprise. On a handwritten piece of paper they wrote: Concert at the Orangehouse. Good news, cause you have to know that both places are not really so near to each other. Anyway, I was able to get shots from Elikan Dew and the boys from Idlewild.↑ Schein23 at the Exil 07.05.2005Here some pictures from Schein 23 playing at the Café Exil in Pforzheim.↑ The Cribs and Kaiser Chiefs: Sold out 06.05.2005Latest pix from the Atomic Café. Go there.↑ Marienplatz and the 1st of May 01.05.2005a lot of unnecessary Hip Hop stuff, who likes it…and the band I was waiting for unfortunately at the end of the line up. Mars Volta were playing a sold out show at the Muffathalle. Outside some people were selling their 22€ ticket for 50€, perhaps I should have made that too…but you want some pics and here they are.↑ Tell me Oma Hans is this still Punk Rock? 14.02.2005Who cares, they are at least an institution in the German (underground) music scene, Jens Rachut with Oma Hans live at the Substanz.↑ 2005 welcome by Blasted Mechanism 03.02.2005a new year and a new concert.
